TreeCraft Studio
What is a GEDCOM file?

GEDCOM is the standard export format genealogy programs use — supported by Ancestry, FamilySearch, Family Tree Maker, and most others, so you can freely move your family tree data between programs. TreeCraft Studio reads GEDCOM 5.5 files to build your charts.

Is TreeCraft Studio free to use?

TreeCraft Studio is currently free to use, with no account required. Pricing may evolve as the app grows — check back here for the latest.

Do I need an account, or does my data get uploaded anywhere?

No account, no uploads. Everything runs locally in your browser — your GEDCOM file and chart designs never leave your computer.

What genealogy programs can I import from?

Any program that can export a standard GEDCOM 5.5 file — this includes Ancestry, FamilySearch, Family Tree Maker, and most other genealogy software, along with a built-in sample dataset if you just want to try the app first.

Can I print a large poster-size family tree?

Yes. You can export a high-resolution PDF sized for wide-roll printing at a print shop, or export it tiled across standard letter/A4 pages with crop marks for at-home assembly.

What if I don't have a GEDCOM file yet?

You can still explore TreeCraft Studio using the built-in sample dataset — no GEDCOM file required to try it out and get a feel for the different chart types and styles.
